No Scope follows Doyoon's journey with the online competitive game Psibond as he meets new friends, grows a deeper bond with the game, and struggles with deciding which path he should go down. The focus on gaming culture lets the story explore competitive and casual perspectives while providing a linear path for Doyoon to progress. The character dynamics shift as the story advances, making each confrontation feel fresh and deepening the bonds between characters. Doyoon faces many different types of challenges due to the nature of playing professional games, and a key feature of the series is seeing Doyoon's adaption.

Ichi the Killer explores the demented mind of Ichi, a highly skilled karateka with powerful legs, as he kills according to the orders of Jiji, his contractor. Ichi starts out as a crybaby who looks weak and pathetic, but his deeper personality and mentality is unraveled as the story progresses. Jiji is the mastermind, developing schemes to help him and Ichi come out on top in a battle against a Yakuza group. Ichi's mentality is the main focus of the series, exploring the contradiction of a hitman with incredible fighting prowess who cries all the time while fighting.
