Mission: Yozakura Family in 100 words

Mission: Yozakura Family brings together family dynamics into a spy comedy and develops these dynamics as the story goes on. The protagonist, Taiyo Asano, is a child with no family who must develop his ability to love and protect his lover, Yozakura Mutsumi. Each family member brings unique abilities and characteristics to the table, which keep the story fresh as each character has time for development and focus. The fights become key moments for Taiyo Asano's evolution as he learns to become a better family and husband. The setting is comedically entertaining while maintaining a serious tension throughout the story.

One of the main contributing factors is the Master characters, who each specialize in their own different fighting styles. Ichi the Killer explores the demented mind of Ichi, a highly skilled karateka with powerful legs, as he kills according to the orders of Jiji, his contractor. Ichi starts out as a crybaby who looks weak and pathetic, but his deeper personality and mentality is unraveled as the story progresses. Jiji is the mastermind, developing schemes to help him and Ichi come out on top in a battle against a Yakuza group.
